Woolf’s landmark ‘The Lancasters’ project has received the Winner’s award for the Best Large Project from Westminster City Council at their annual Considerate Builder Awards ceremony.

This prestigious award, part of the council’s Considerate Builder Scheme, is a fitting recognition of the efforts the team has made, not only to adhere to, but to exceed the standards demanded of the scheme.

Project Director David Charlwood has received commendations from the principals of both stakeholder clients, Northacre and Minerva, both extremely impressed with the importance Woolf places on reducing the impact that the construction of The Lancasters has on the local environment.

Mike Plummer, Development Director of Northacre says “This is a great achievement and I have passed on the thanks of Lancaster Gate (Hyde Park)Ltd to Dave and all the site team.”

Deservedly proud of his team and its achievement, but equally conscious that this accomplishment must be sustained and surpassed, David Charlwood has asked the team “to build on this achievement and make improvements that go beyond what we’ve already achieved.  Please all think what we can do to further help in reducing any negative impact on the local environment”

Rob Spencer, Woolf Managing Director, believes that the award is well deserved by the team and a clear indication of how seriously the team and company as a whole believe in the ethics of the scheme.  “This is an excellent result for the team and a fitting reward for the hard work and dedication they have shown throughout the extremely challenging demolition phase of the project.  The Lancasters is a truly unique project and one I believe will yield further recognition and reward as it progresses”
