David Charlwood is exemplary. I see you are dealing with a listed building, as we do on most of our schemes. CM is our chosen procurement route. This fosters a one team approach, discoveries and issues with dealing with an existing never mind a listed building can be a problem. Main Contractors tend to make the most of these types of issues, whereas Woolf seek to mitigate and resolve issues with the minimum of delay and cost. We also find that quality is not sacrificed under CM as can be the case with main contracting when up against it commercially. We also get to select the best trade contractors to work with, not just the cheapest as tendered by a main contractor seeking to keep costs down. I know we get best value from this procurement route with Woolf." |
