Project: 44-46 Park Street Location: London Client: Northacre Value: £ 8m Scope: Conversion of 2 listed Georgian houses to form 6 luxury apartments.
The conversion of two Grade II listed Georgian houses situated in the heart of Mayfair, opposite the Grosvenor House Hotel on Park Street.
Previously used as office accommodation, the conversion now provides 6 luxury apartments with top quality finishes. Apartments include an ambassadorial triplex apartment, complete with ballroom for formal entertainment, a three bedroom lateral apartment, as well as three and four bedroom duplexes.
The building was delicately retained and restored in accordance with English Heritage, including staircases, ceilings, ornate cornices, marble floors and timber wall panelling.
Retaining many period features, the apartments have been finished using the finest materials and attention to detail, using specialist contractors and designers.
All apartments have been fitted with comfort cooling, scene setting lighting and intelligent control systems. Under floor and ceiling heating was installed, along with comfort around the perimeter of the rooms.
The existing fireplaces were removed for the construction works but were reinstated to restore the building to its former glory. A new electrical sub-station was installed to meet the increased demand of the apartments.
Woolf delivered the first apartment, the triplex, to huge acclaim from Northacre.
Subsequent to our success on this project, Woolf has been appointed to construction manage the prestigious Lancasters project for Northacre at Lancaster Gate.
