Following an audit by the Considerate Constructors' Scheme, Woolf's Connaught Place project, led by Project Manager Dave Williams, last week achieved 34 points out of a possible 40. In what was their first ever CCS audit, the team scored a minimum of 4 points per category, achieving 4.5 points in 4 out of the 8 categories. To put this into perspective, a score of 4.0 equates to a "high level of compliance" while a score of 5.0 equates to "exceptional measures taken". This is a huge achievement and equates to the schemes "A Very Good Site" which only 15% of participating sites achieve. In the monitor's own words "This is a very good site with much to commend it. Extremely clean and tidy and with some very good procedures in place. A very prominent location in Central London which has become, I feel, a very good advertisement for the industry." Rob Spencer, Woolf MD comments "This is an exceptionally high standard which is testament to the efforts made by the team as a whole. Special mention must go to Kevin Larkin, Woolf's Construction Manager, who is the driving force behind this exceptional achievement and sets the standard for other Woolf sites." Not satisfied with the above, Kevin Larkin's response is “We will be striving to achieve over 36 points on future site visits.” Watch this space… |
